My name is Nicole Barron. I am a pop/ surrealist/ figurative/ abstract artist. I was born in Arizona but have spent most of my life in the Sacramento area. I have always been inspired to pursue art to some form or another. I have been painting for years now with an emphasis in Acrylics. The part of the painting process I enjoy most is the tactile nature of it with its ability to work up many glazes, and then break it down through distressing it to get the texture you are looking for. My recent travels to Europe inspired me through the paintings allegorical nature and how they are still relevant today. It is like a stamp in history that helps our modern day world progress as we understand where we came from. My goal as an artist is to create a stamp in future history to represent our modern day world.
